Madeline Lenahan Madeline Lenahan

ARTIST BIO

Madeline Lenahan was born in Boston, MA in 1996. She completed her B.A. in fashion design at SCAD Atlanta while doing a work-study at the SCAD FASH Museum. Fixated on nostalgia and archiving, she frequents antique stores; collecting oddities and buying and selling high-end vintage. For years she has done freelance hair and makeup artistry as well as illustration and concept art. Consistently inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli, Alexander McQueen, Guillermo del Toro and David Lynch, she is forever smitten with the strange, scary and surreal. In her own projects she aims to express sociopolitically and sexually-charged narratives through tailored compositions of hair, makeup, and clothing. Her customer base includes models, photographers, filmmakers, musicians, visual and performing artists. She ultimately aspires to do costume design, fashion journalism and creative direction. Currently, Madeline lives in the mountains and works at the Taubman Museum of Art.
